Vancouver Poetry House, The Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre, and the Cascadia Deaf Nation are partnering up on a special workshop at Moberly entitled Language Justice: The Art of Living Experience Through Cultural-Linguistic Lens. This event is an opportunity for artists to gain insight on how language justice can be incorporated into their artwork and for organizing better spaces for visibility of Linguistic Activism and Justice, with a broad lens on organizer and artist considerations in an event space and in creation/curation processes. The Cascadia team will cover the roles of the stewards, the major concepts of  Language Justice (LJ), and the vision for Community Equity and dissolution of ‘Phonocentrism’.

The dates are on Friday, September 19th and Saturday September 20th from 6pm – 7:30pm (plus 30 minutes of Q&A).
