Learn the history, customs, and traditions behind the celebration of the Chinese New Year Festival. Instructor Jessica Yue will first perform Chinese Fan, Ribbon, Handkerchief, Drum, Classic dance, as well as basic dances while seated with families, involving simple hand movements. You’ll also be shown how to make sesame balls or baked rice cake also known as “New Year Cake”! You’ll get a chance to sample each of the sesame balls or New Year Cakes as well. Children must be accompanied by adults.
