Acting Kung Fu (16+ yrs)
Do you love Kung Fu movies? Why not make one yourself? Acting Kung Fu is a class focused on staging Kung Fu choreographies live and for camera. Students will get into the basic ideas of Non-Verbal Dialogue, the narrative of fights, and the creation of fight choreographies. Another important part will be the preparation for and approach of a character. This physical class includes theory
and praxis, and is not a stage combat course.

All Bodies Dance Youth (16-14 yrs)
Calling all music-loving, energetic and creative youth! All Bodies Dance Project is offering a 5-week series of dance workshops for young people with and without disabilities.Together we will explore dance improvisation, rhythm and non-verbal communication in a fun and safe environment. Each session will include a movement-based warm-up, a series of improvisation based exercises and time for collaborative creation and discussion.
All abilities and experience are welcome! Participants who require one-to-one support will need to bring their own assistant.

Girls Rock Camp Vancouver
Girls Rock Camp Vancouver (GRCV) aims to empower female and non-binary youth through music creation. Focus on different musical genres, from rock, country, punk, pop, hip hop, and more, led by local female musicians, as well as workshops in songwriting and merch making (campers will screenprint their own tshirts). Youth will get hands on experience making music in different musical genres while learning the basics of music creation. No musical experience is necessary! All gear is provided.

Glow Kids will be offering an annual Spring Break Musical Theatre Camp at Moberly. This year, kids will learn to sing, dance, act, and build costumes/sets through arts and crafts projects. They will also learn how to get ready for auditions and live performances based on beloved musicals, plays, and films. This fun-filled camp will end with a production for parents on the last day of camp. On sunny days, kids will get to practice outside and play outdoors. This is an excellent way to find out if your child enjoys the performing arts. No previous dance or acting experience necessary. Participants are placed into groups according to experience.

Syrian Food for the Soul (18+ yrs)
This cooking workshop will highlight the richness, complexity, and most importantly regionalism of Syrian food. Each class would shed light on one of the Syrian culinary hubs namely Aleppo, Damascus, Latakia, Homs. This class will focus on what Tayybeh does best, homestyle food that feeds your body and soul and is reminiscent of your mum’s kitchen. Participants will get the chance to learn about the history of Syrian food and specialty ingredients, and the history of the city of focus for the day. Participants will also hear stories about our chefs and their cooking experiences back home and now in Canada and take part in preparing 3 items. The class would culminate in a little Syrian feast for everyone.
